Probation Institute Seeks New Chair for Academic Advisory Network

The Probation Institute has strong links with the academic community, and we value these links which help us to keep in touch with relevant and important research in the justice field.

Our Academic Advisory Network is a group of around 20 individuals from a range of universities and research settings, most but not all in the UK, and we welcome international members.

The panel meets two or three times each year, online, to review ongoing and recent research and proposals for new research projects. Our Research Panel works alongside the network to arrange our regular Research Events.

Madeline Petrillo, from the University of Greenwich, has recently stood down as Chair of the network and we would like to invite an academic in the justice field to become the new Chair. The new chair will have the opportunity to help us to review the role of the Academic Advisory Network and seek ways also to engage practitioners.

Members of the Academic Advisory Panel must be members of the Probation Institute.

If this opportunity is of interest to you please contact Helen Schofield in the first instance: helen@probation-institute.org

Applicants will be invited to submit a short statement in support of their application.
