Fellows
Probation Institute Fellows are practitioners, academics, and leaders who have made an outstanding contribution to probation or community justice and are recognised experts in their field. Fellowship reflects a sustained commitment to professional practice, research, leadership, and the values of the Probation Institute.
The Role of Fellows
Fellows play an important role in supporting the Institute’s professional voice and leadership. They contribute expertise, advice, and challenge that helps inform the Institute’s work, including its contributions to policy, research, and professional debate.
Recognition and Status
Fellows of the Probation Institute are entitled to use the post‑nominals “FPInst” after their name, recognising their contribution to the profession.
Becoming a Fellow
If you are interested in applying to become a Fellow of the Institute, you will need to complete an application form.
Applications are considered by the Institute’s Membership Committee in line with agreed criteria and the Institute’s values.
