Statement from the Probation Institute

The Probation Institute is shocked to learn that a trainee probation officer was assaulted yesterday in a stabbing incident in the Oxford PDU. Our thoughts and good wishes are with the victim.

This incident occurs only a few months since a serious assault on a probation officer in Preston in July this year. 

The safety and health of all practitioners must be a core value and priority responsibility for the whole service.
